Paint From Your Soul™ workshop creations exploring feminine archetypes
CREATIVE • INTUITIVE • SOULFUL

You Don’t Have to Know What’s Next. Sometimes You Just Have to Let It Emerge.

A 4-week live online creative experience for women ready to reconnect with themselves, trust their intuition, and discover what may be waiting to emerge.

FOR WOMEN WONDERING, “WHAT’S NEXT? WHAT NOW?”

Maybe Life Looks Different Than It Used To.

The kids are grown. A relationship has changed. You’ve spent years taking care of everyone else. Or maybe nothing dramatic has happened at all.

You just know something in you is ready for more.

Who am I now?

What do I want?

What would bring me joy?

What part of me is ready to come out and play?

Sometimes the answers don’t come from thinking harder. They emerge when we give ourselves permission to create.

Curious to try it yourself?

SO...WHAT EXACTLY IS IT?

Paint From Your Soul™
Is More Than Painting.

Paint From Your Soul™ is a guided creative process that uses painting as a way to have a conversation with yourself.

Instead of starting with an idea of what your painting should look like, you’ll learn to quiet the thinking mind, trust your intuition, and follow what wants to emerge.

Your canvas becomes a place to experiment, take chances, play, and notice what shows up. The process can reveal things about yourself you may not have discovered by simply thinking harder.

This isn’t about creating a “good” painting. It’s about creating something that is meaningful to you.

Let Me Tell You Why I Love This

Before you decide if this is for you, I want to share a little about why this experience means so much to me.

In our 4 weeks together

You'll Receive

By the end of our four weeks together, you’ll have:

  • Your own completed archetypal portrait, created layer by layer throughout our time together.
  • An understanding of the archetypes we explore and the wisdom and qualities each can represent.
  • A new way of listening to your intuition, allowing the image and your inner knowing to help guide what comes next.
  • More confidence in your creative voice, without worrying about getting it “right.”
  • A meaningful connection with other women who are creating and exploring alongside you.
  • A different relationship with the creative process, one that can continue long after our workshop ends.

You’ll leave with a painting. But what you discover while creating it may be the part you treasure most.

Will You Love Your Painting?

I can’t promise that.

You may love it. You may have parts you love and parts you don’t. You may even look at it and think, “What in the world just happened here?”

But I can promise you will learn from it.

Because the real creation isn’t just what’s happening on the canvas. It’s what you’re discovering about yourself along the way.

QUESTIONS?

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know how to paint?

Not at all. You don’t need any previous painting experience, and you won’t be expected to figure out how to paint a portrait on your own.

I’ll guide you throughout the process, including some painting techniques along the way. But rather than trying to copy a picture or make your painting look a certain way, your intuition will help lead the colors, elements and choices that make your painting uniquely yours.

You’ll have plenty of guidance. There’s just no “right” painting you’re trying to create.

It’s much more than an art class.

Yes, I’ll teach you painting techniques and guide you step by step as you create your portrait. But so much of the learning happens in the process itself.

During our workshop, we’ll explore one female archetype and the qualities she represents. And we won’t just learn about her. We’ll spend time experiencing her, noticing where her qualities already live within us, and exploring where we may be ready to express more of them in our own lives.

Then we take that exploration to the canvas.

As you paint, you’ll practice listening inward, trusting what wants to emerge, noticing your reactions, and allowing the painting to change as you change. Even the moments when you want to cover something up, hold onto something, or take an unexpected risk can teach you something about yourself.

You’ll create a painting, but the real experience is discovering what the process reveals about you.

An archetype is a universal pattern or expression of qualities that we recognize in ourselves and others.

During our four weeks together, we’ll explore one female archetype and the qualities she represents. But we won’t simply talk about her. We’ll experience her.

Through reflection, guided practices, conversation, and painting, you’ll have opportunities to notice where her qualities already live within you, where you may have tucked them away, and where you might be ready to express more of them.

Even if you don’t immediately recognize that part of yourself, she’s there.

The archetype becomes part of the journey, and your painting gives you another way to explore and express what you’re discovering.

Over our four weeks together, you’ll create your own 16×20 archetypal portrait, one layer at a time.

You won’t begin knowing exactly what she will look like. That’s part of the experience.

We’ll start with intention, color, movement, and layers. As the process unfolds, I’ll guide you in bringing your archetypal portrait forward while you continue listening to your own intuition and responding to what’s happening on your canvas.

By the end, you’ll have a completed portrait that is uniquely yours and carries the story of the process that created her.

You don’t need a fancy art studio! Here’s what you’ll need:

Painting supplies

  • One 16×20″ canvas
  • A basic set of acrylic paints, plus raw sienna, burnt sienna and raw umber for skin tones (or buy already mixed skin tone)
  • 1 medium brush
  • 1 small square brush
  • 1 small round brush
  • Matte medium (gloss is fine if you already have it)
  • A piece of chalk

Things you probably already have around the house

  • Paper towels
  • Plastic fork
  • Take-out plastic container or wax paper for mixing paint
  • Paper and pencil for sketching
  • A washcloth that can get paint on it
  • A marble or small ball that can get paint on it

And don’t worry about remembering all of this. After you register, I’ll email you the complete supply list along with the other information you’ll need before we begin.

Nothing fancy. Just come ready to paint, play, experiment and make a little mess.

Acrylic paint is wonderfully forgiving. It dries quickly, layers easily, and lets us change our minds as we go. We can paint over something, add to it, soften it, or take the painting in an entirely new direction.

That makes it perfect for Paint From Your Soul™, because this process is about responding to what’s emerging rather than having the whole painting figured out ahead of time.

And yes, sometimes painting right over something you thought you loved is part of the adventure!

Life happens! If you need to miss one of our live sessions, you’ll have access to the recording so you can catch up before we meet again.

Because each session builds on what we’ve created before, I encourage you to attend live whenever you can. There’s something special about painting together, sharing the experience, and seeing what unfolds in real time.

Recordings will be available throughout our four weeks together and for two weeks after our final session. So if life gets in the way, you won’t be left behind.

Once you’re registered, I’ll make sure you have everything you need to feel prepared before we begin.

You’ll receive confirmation of your registration, followed by information about the workshop, including your complete supply list, Zoom details, and anything else you’ll need to know before our first session.

Then all you need to do is gather your supplies, set aside a comfortable place to create, and come with an open mind and a little curiosity.

I’ll guide you from there.

You might love it. You might not. And either one is okay.

Paint From Your Soul™ isn’t about creating something beautiful enough to hang in a museum or getting approval from anyone else. In fact, you don’t even have to think your painting is beautiful for the experience to be meaningful.

Think of your painting as a relationship. There may be moments when you love what’s happening, moments when you’re frustrated with it, and moments when it completely surprises you.

A painting can be finished not because you think it’s perfect, but because you’ve gotten what you needed from the experience.

Your finished portrait is part of the journey. What you discover about yourself while creating her may be the part you treasure most.

No. Paint From Your Soul™ is not therapy.

The process was created by an art therapist, but the purpose of the workshop is not to diagnose or treat anything. Instead, we use art as a self-reflective tool: a way to become curious, listen inward, explore an archetype, and notice what the creative process may be showing you about yourself.

Your canvas becomes a place to experiment, express, reflect, and perhaps see something from a different perspective.

It’s a creative journey of self-discovery, not a therapy session.
